E-invoice address
A Finnish e-invoice address identifies where an organisation receives electronic invoices through its chosen intermediary. TIEKE’s national e-invoice address service lists addresses supplied and maintained by Finnish operators and banks, and supports searches by organisation name, address, or Business ID. The address is routing information; it is separate from the Business ID, invoice format, and recipient’s intermediary identifier.
Why this matters when you invoice
A correctly identified company can still have a separate e-invoice receiving address and intermediary. Treating identity and routing as different fields helps prevent a structured invoice from being sent to the wrong endpoint.
Where it appears
Finnish customers may publish an e-invoice address and intermediary in supplier instructions, contracts, accounting portals or the national address registry.
Find the company, then confirm the receiving route
A supplier knows the customer's Y-tunnus and prepares a Finvoice document. The supplier still checks the customer's current e-invoice address and intermediary before delivery. The Business ID identifies the organisation; it does not replace the routing details.
Common mistakes
- Using the Business ID as though it were the e-invoice address.
- Ignoring the intermediary or operator information.
- Assuming a Peppol recipient result covers every domestic Finnish operator route.
Check supported Finnish recipient capability
Use InvoiceCraftly's Finnish recipient check for supported Peppol information, then confirm domestic address/operator details when your workflow requires them.
InvoiceCraftly's recipient check covers supported Peppol information; it does not replace Finland's domestic e-invoice address registry or operator confirmation.
